MATRIS, year after year …

The company Matris, since 2000, is headquartered in Vicenza area, the so called “Land of Venice”.

Back to 80’s: The founders of Matris began to collaborate on the design and subsequent production of hydraulic suspension systems for super sportsbikes, the primary objective of the company.

​

At that time, suspensions were  evolving from simple “assemblies”, by which the chassis connected to the wheels of the vehicle, to sophisticated hydraulic “systems” for advanced developments in damping and great control of the movements of the chassis with regard to the wheels.

​

The bikes increased power and performance, adopting swingarms with progressive single shock linkage systems.

​

Consequently hydraulic and its control have become of primary importance to optimise suspension performance and this is where Matris focuses, applying “top high-end” valve systems to its products for the best control of the hydraulic flows.

​

Back to 90’s: The revolutionary steering damper with external volumetric reservoir tank and “Speed Sensitive” damping system was introduced.  An icon of Matris, still a reference point for the design and the technology of the sector.

 

Twenty years of experience together with the technical and mechanical evolution of materials allows Matris to improve its competitiveness, especially in terms of quality/price relationship.

In the years (from 2000) Matris developed new ranges of rear mono-shocks and hydraulic fork cartridges, a specific line of twin-shocks for Classic & Custom bikes and the high-end pressurized USD F43SP complete fork.

​

The product choice was then enriched with the innovative “quad-valve system” for the asymmetric cartridges and the new “sealed” closed and pressurized cartridge kit.

​

In 2018 the company moved to the new headquarter and introduced the new rear-shock series dedicated to maxi scooters and in 2022 the new high-end suspension products for the “Vespa world”.

​

Finally, in 2025 the up-grade of all the rear twin-sets and the newest M40T-F twin-series engineered specifically for “M8 Big Baggers” Harley-Davidson (Touring models) are introduced.
